Terrazzo (also known as whetstone) is a product made by mixing aggregates such as crushed stone, glass, quartz stone into cement binders to make concrete products, and then grinding and polishing the surface. Terrazzo made of cement binder is called inorganic grindstone, and terrazzo made of epoxy binder is also called epoxy grindstone or organic grindstone.
Terrazzo was put into the market as early as early 2005. It is not only easy to operate, but also has extremely low cost, and the crystal surface effect is comparable to that of natural marble. Moreover, the terrazzo cases that have been constructed in 2005 have maintained the original crystal surface and brightness, and so far do not require care. Traditional terrazzo has a huge market in China due to its unique advantages such as low cost, optional color matching and parquet, and convenient construction. The terrazzo floor has been used in various urban and rural buildings across the country. There are as many as one billion square meters.
What are the advantages of terrazzo?
(1) The surface finish of terrazzo crystal treatment is high, which can reach a gloss of 90 degrees and a maximum gloss of 102 degrees, which is equivalent to the quality of imported medium and high-grade marble surfaces.
(2) Wear-resistant terrazzo and surface hardness can reach 6-8 grades.
After the terrazzo floor is completed, its hardness is very high, which is also a great advantage compared with our wooden floor, and it is not much different from ceramic tiles. Like our common terrazzo floor, the hardness has reached four to five levels. What does this show? It means that the hardness of the terrazzo floor is basically the same as our common natural stone granite.

This mainly depends on the characteristics of the terrazzo floor itself and the characteristics of the construction. Because the terrazzo floor is made of raw materials and polished, its anti-skid performance is very good. You can compare it with ceramic tiles and you will find that the terrazzo floor is very non-slip. Another point is that during the construction of the terrazzo floor, there is no gap in the middle, which is a very big advantage compared with ceramic tiles. Therefore, the terrazzo floor is very convenient to clean.
(6) Inorganic terrazzo is non-combustible, non-flammable, anti-aging, anti-fouling, anti-corrosion, no odor and no pollution.
(7) The color is bright and clean. If you need to improve the brightness, use floor wax or crystallization (without affecting its anti-static performance), harden and wear-resistant terrazzo, and maintain long-term beauty without waxing.
The service life is as high as 30 years.
